When you think of neon signs in Saginaw, Michigan's history, one might come to mind. "The Leaky Faucet" used to be a landmark of the town and still holds memories to many. Taken down in 1997 and given to the Castle Museum, the Brenske Plumbing Neon Sign is back and bright.

"Lots of people probably get memories of Saginaw as soon as they see the sign again. It represents an era past and sure to spark cherished thoughts, while attracting fans of art as well. Big Neon signs are truly a blast from the past," said one reader of the story.

Hung up high, the Leaky Faucet neon sign was returned to public view in Saginaw, Michigan June 14th. As spectators and fans of the artwork gathered, they watched as the bathroom faucet design's 6 drops of water activated as if Brenske plumbing lit the sign for a first time.

Originally owned by Brenske Plumbing, the Leaky faucet sign was taken down in 1997. The plumbing, heating, and supply company closed it doors to make way for a Rite Aide Pharmacy. The company's sign however lived on as it was given to the Castle Museum of Saginaw who stored and preserved the relic item.
